HardcoreGamer4Ever: Just making some updates, it's been years and certain things have changed.

He's a 30 year old user who's not only fat, but a loser. He calls himself HardcoreGamer4Ever, but his favorite company is [[Nintendo]]. The origin of his name is that he's not like other hardcore gamers in that they like violent, mature games, such as [[Grand Theft Auto]] and first person shooters, but he loves video games and he believes they are the one of the best forms of entertainment. However, he still does like GTA and whatnot.

He is still a fat fuck and a nerd. His greatest accomplishment is his 4 Virgin Of The Year Awards, which is indeed a world record. He believes retro games are better than modern ones, though he still enjoys modern games. His favorite console is the [[GameCube]]. His name was changed from HardcoreGamer4Ever to Logan on July 1, 2011. Despite the fact that he's now legally an adult, he's about as mature as a 3 year old. He eventually requested his name be changed back to HardcoreGamer4Ever due to being a sappy, sentimental dork who missed the old name, and Syd graciously accepted his request. He still sucks eggs all these years later.

April Fools' Day 2006

HardcoreGamer4Ever:

[[April Fools' Day 2006]] marked the first time that a prank was played on an April 1st in the history of [[SydLexia.com]]. It consisted of an elaborate scheme set out by [[Syd]] to trick people into believing the site and its [[SydLexia.com Forums|forums]] had been hacked by an angry [[Maddox]] fanboy. The prank was a huge success with most of the forum members and a lot of site visitors falling for it.

== The setup ==

The preparations for the eventual prank started March 9th. [[cybersst]], who together with [[Dr. Jeebus]] and [[Spanky McCracken]] was one of the few people who were in on the joke, was given a fake account called [[maddoxownsyou]]. Syd then had him post some threatening and annoying messages, so that the IP couldn't be traced back to him by his moderators, whom he hadn't told anything about the forthcoming prank.

The first post by maddoxownsyou was a poorly written series of insults on March 9th. The post was modded and the fake user was set on notice by Syd. March 17th brought the second staged offense with a seemingly angry maddoxownsyou spamming the forum with "sydlexia sux, maddox rules" polls which finally ended in him getting banned. With a convincing motive for an attack now set in place the actual prank could be executed.

== The prank ==

On April 1st, Syd made changes to both the main site and the forums to convey the impression that [[SydLexia.com]] had been hacked. The main site displayed animated GIFs of New Kids On the Block band members and proclaimed that "if u diss maddox, u better watch outt" (sic), tying in with the fake maddoxownsyou posts. [http://www.sydlexia.com/afd2006.htm] The color scheme of the forums had also been changed so that the boards now appeared in an ugly red and pink, with the SydLexia.com banner reading "Total Nonstop Gayness" instead of the usual "Pop culture ate my brain".

On top of everything Syd changed his own account to "Syd Loseria" and started making threads triumphantly announcing that maddoxownsyou was now in full control of the site and its forums. Forum members started trying to contact Syd to tell him about the situation, but nobody could reach him. With Syd nowhere to be seen everybody believed that the hacker had somehow managed to shut him out.

Most of the forum members initially fell for the staged attack, some tearing into the seemingly responsible Maddox fanboy. [[Tebor]] apologized for the happenings and promised that the problem would be fixed as soon as possible. [[Valdronius]] figured it out and even played along pretending that his account had been taken over by maddoxownsyou. Eventually the rest of the forum also realized that they had probably been fooled by Syd and speculation began as to who had been in on the joke.

== The aftermath ==

Syd later apologized for the joke feeling that it might have been a bit too much, but the prank was generally well received and people congratulated Syd on the brilliant execution. No hard feelings were had.

Drew Linky is a relatively new addition to the Sydlexia forums, joining on the 12th of June, 2009. Since then, he has tried to become an active member of the community.

==Behavior==
Drew often tries to behave like a mature adult, but at heart he is one of the biggest perverts ever to walk the face of the mIRC chat, stemming from his lack of people to talk to before joining Sydlexia. While speaking, he will often say short, single worded responses that display confusion or misunderstanding, such as 'Eh?' 'Uh' and 'Er'.

==Avatar==
One note of particular interest is his (now previous) avatar. A tesseract, it is a model of a fourth dimensional object in third dimensional space. If one were to build a still model in real life, it would be a hypercube, where if you shined a flashlight at it, the shadows would... oh, wait, you don't care? Ok then, moving on. If you're curious about it, just PM him on the forums.

He changed it because it wasn't an actual face, and restricted him from being a part of Sideway's ongoing comic series. BAAAAAAAWWWWW

SoldierHawk's username is her preferred internet handle, and is used several other places besides sydlexia.com. She invented it by combing the name of one of her occupations (Soldier) with her personal animal avatar (or more colloquially, "spirit animal"), the red tail hawk.

The hawk photo was taken by SoldierHawk herself while living in Alaska. To clear up any confusion, SoldierHawk is indeed a female, and it is therefore customary to use feminine pronouns such as "she" and "her" when referring to her. She realizes that this violates a long-held belief among Sydlexia members that there are no women on the internet, and she is hopeful that the boob jokes will stop within the next year or two as she continues to gain the forum members' trust and observe them their natural habitat.

== Early Life ==

SoldierHawk was born in Fort Hood, Texas on February 24, 1984. Her father was in the Marines and Army, and her mother was a school teacher. Her family moved to Southern California when she was 7, and that is where she lived for most of her life except for living a year abroad in the Netherlands in second grade (where she attended a Dutch school.) She went away to college in Alaska, loved it, and hopes to god she can move back there once her school obligations are finished in San Diego.

== Employment ==

SoldierHawk is currently between jobs, and actively seeking full time employment.

Prior to this, she was employed for several years as a ranch hand at Rawhide Ranch in Bonsall, CA. She actually lived on the ranch, and wore boots and a cowboy hat as part of her required work attire. Her duties included breaking and training horses, teaching riding classes and caring for various livestock. (FUN FACT: the only broken bone SoldierHawk has ever suffered was her wrist, which was snapped backwards in a particularly vicious sheep attack.) Before college and during breaks, she also worked at the Old Globe Theatre San Diego off and on for five years, where she attained the near-godly rank of Assistant Box Office Manager.

While in college as an undergrad, she worked in the university library archives, preserving old books and papers, and also worked with archival films. She spent many early mornings and late nights editing, cutting and splicing old 8mm and 16mm films about the history of Alaska. She also worked in the Writing Center, helping students of all levels and backgrounds write and organize their assignments.

In high school she was also a tutor, and held down a job at Target for nearly a year. If she hadn't wanted to go to college before that job, Target would have terrified her into it.

SoldierHawk is a child of the 80s. Her favorite show as a child was the Thundercats. She used to have, quite literally, ever single Thundercats toy in existence. These were sadly given away by her mother when SoldierHawk went away to college. In addition to TC, SoldierHawk has very fond memories of watching Silverhawks, Transformers, The A-Team, Mr. Wizard, Nickelodeon's ''Snick,'' Quantum Leap, Reading Rainbow and Square One TV.

SoldierHawk's first gaming system was the original NES, with the triple game cart--SMB, Duck Hunt, and World Class Track Meet. Many, many hours were spent pounding on the Power Pad with her hands trying to beat Cheetah in the final race.

Her current preferred gaming platforms are PC and PS2. Her favorite games include Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Kirby's Dreamland, Batman (NES), and Mass Effect. Her most anticipated game of next year is Mass Effect 2.

The geekiest item of clothing she owns is a tie between her Thundercats logo t-shirt, and her 8-Bit Theatre t-shirt.

Her favorite movies are the Peter Jackson LOtR series, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Matrix, Sunshine and Equilibrium.

SoldierHawk's taste in music is eclectic to say the least. Her favorite band is easily Iron Maiden, followed closely by Manowar and Metallica. However, she also loves the 70s group America, and has a deep and abiding love for all country music as well.

Besides gaming and being a nerd, her hobbies include reading (anything and everything--she has a special affinity for Shakespeare, Stephen King and Orson Scott Card), writing (she is currently working on a novel, and is trying to get several short stories published) and amateur astronomy. She also enjoys hiking, camping, hunting and other outdoor activities.

== Sports ==

SoldierHawk is a huge fan of both football and ice hockey. She has played both; PowerPuff (yes, she hates the name) tackle football in high school (she was a running back) and ice hockey (played inter-mural in college, since UAF doesn't allow women on the school team--she was a center).

She was, is, and will forever be a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Edmonton Oilers. Emmitt Smith is her favorite football player, and Gretzky is her all-time favorite hockey player. She really, really loved Chris Pronger and Ryan Smyth, but its really better not to mention those two names around her anymore.

SoldierHawk also harbors a lesser-known (or at least lesser-mentioned) love of figure skating. Kurt Browning is her favorite skater by far, followed by Scott Hamilton Brian Orser, Brian Boitano and Kristi Yamaguchi.

She is also a second-degree black belt in kempo, and will ''kick your ass'' if you make any figure skating jokes.

Nobody really knows what his screenname is supposed to mean. Perhaps it is an exclamation of rage screamed into the air from a woman he widowed. It could be a calling card in the form of a branding iron marking (usually to ignorant conservatives who think fetuses are more important than women). It could be an attempt to make up a Wu-Tang Clan moniker. Or it could just be his initials.

Despite his happy-go-lucky and quirky nature, JRA is reviled in the forums for opinions and facts that others would find repulsive.
He is completely burnt out on Guns N Roses, and doesn't comprehend how anyone can continue to put up with Axl Rose's shit. Axl Rose needs an ass kicking of Rodney King proportions by Boy George and the guys from Rosenshontz.

==Music & Journalism==

JRA would jump at the chance to write for a music magazine if most of the opinions in the music world weren't bought already. Doesn't seem to care about Led Zeppelin's "plagirism" controversy, thinks such detractors can blow him. Wonders if "pop" music can be classified by anything other than high record sales.

His favorite band use to be Iron Maiden, until they starting fucking up by releasing that repetitive nonsense ''A Matter Of Life & Death,'' and claiming it was the best thing ever, not to mention being lazy in their live setlist. But at least they don't downtune from their albums in an attempt to sound "heavier" or make up for aging voices.

[[The God Of Lemons]], formerly known as I HATE WHITE PEOPLE, is a user who was twice banned from the SydLexia.com forums. He was incapable of putting together coherent sentences and annoyed the hell out of every single person on the forums. He was possibly a troll, and almost certainly mentally retarded. Upon his second banning, he was given an IP to prevent him from viewing the forums or rejoining. He had already been banned once and rejoined, so this was done to ensure that he could not rejoin again and clog the forums with his pathetic antics and poorly written opinions.

Upon his banning, he began attacking Sydapedia under the name I'm Gay. Sir, no one cares what your sexual orientation is, nor were you persecuted for it. You were banned for being annoying and worthless.

Nintendo is a video game company that originally began as a Hanafuda card manufacturer in 1889. Before getting into the video game industry, they created many other products, such as the Ultra Hand and Nintendo Instant Rice. Their first arcade game was a mechanical light gun game called Laser Clay Shooting System. They broke into the video game industry in 1975 when they got rights to distribute the [[Magnavox Odyssey]] in Japan. Their first video game, EVR Race, was developed the same year, but it was a flop. In 1977, they released their first video game system, the [[Color TV Game]]. There were some other unsuccessful or slightly successful games in the following years, like Sheriff (the first twin stick shooter), released in 1979, and Radar Scope, released in 1980. Fox Network is world-famous for its treatment of sci-fi shows. Whenever they have a science fiction show that anyone likes, they will either cancel it in the middle of a season, leaving plot threads unresolved (''[[Firefly]]'', ''[[Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles]]'') or screw it up beyond recognition ([[Sliders]]). The worst victim was the pilot movie for an attempted [[Doctor Who]] revival in 1996; that didn't even get past the first story. The Edit The Image Game was started by [[Blackout]] in November 09. The rules of the game were to take an existing image and everybody would take turns making edits to it, with humorous results. The game was popular for awhile and then suddenly died without warning. Probably had something to do with half the people playing got pissed at [[Mr Scott]] (which was in vogue at the time) for making a big edit that covered someone elses. Maybe the game will get revived in the future.

He's a 17 year old user who's not only fat, but a loser. He calls himself HardcoreGamer4Ever, but his favorite company is Nintendo. The origin of his name is that he's not like other hardcore gamers in that they like violent, mature games, such as GTA and FPS's, but he loves video games and he believes they are the one of the best forms of entertainment. However, he still does like GTA and whatnot. He is still a fat fuck and a nerd. His greatest accomplishment is his 4 Virgin Of The Year Awards, which is indeed a world record. He believes retro games are better than modern ones even though he still enjoys modern games, and his favorite console is the SNES.

The [[Atari Moritat]] is an eighth-generation video game console tentatively scheduled to be released by Atari on March 31, 2011. It was the first eighth-generation console to be announced.

Five launch titles have been announced for the Moritat thus far:
*Missile Command: Scions of the Apocalypse, a Missile Command sequel in name only, this looks to be a rip-off of Metal Gear Solid. It is being developed by former Factor 5 employees and will be published by Atari.
*Breakout 3D, a remake of the classic game that will require 3D glasses. It is being developed and published by Atari.
*Pac-Man World: Ghosts of the Past, a new 3D platformer starring Pac-Man. It is being developed and published by Namco.
*Mackie Messer, a sandbox game based on [[The Threepenny Opera]]. Not much is known about this title. It is being developed and published by Atari.
*Adventure 3, a 3D action/rpg with key swords, giant duck-dragons, and more.

South Park

A funny cartoon show that was originally done using stop-motion animation and construction paper. It is now animated using Macromedia Flash. The show became very popular in its first two seasons for pushing the envelope for what we got to see on television in terms of vulgarity and bathroom humor. In Season 3, however, the show increasingly began to incorporate political and social issues into its plots. Now heading into its 12th season, South Park focuses almost entirely on topical issues, but remains as funny as ever. In fact, many would argue the show has become even funnier as it has matured. However, others think that South Park has gone downhill and sucks shit now, like a certain idiot user named [[HardcoreGamer4Ever]], who believes it used to be funny, and still is sometimes funny, but ultimately, nowhere near as good as it used to be.
