Metallica is was a heavy metal band that were hugely popular in the 80s and 90s. They lost a Grammy the first year the Grammy's introduced the Heavy Metal award to Jethro Tull. Metallica has some iconic songs like Enter Sandman (fuck you guys, this song still rules), The Unforgiven, and Nothing Else Matters Master of Puppets, Seek & Destroy, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and One.

The band's awesome drummer, Lars Ulrich, is known for being butthurt over people downloading their music for free off of Napster. This alienated many fans because they would actually have to pay for their music Metallica was against the free distribution of music. But it's not like it's worth paying for their music anyway.
