The nWo is a usergroup on the SydLexia.com Forums started by JEW in June 2007. Nobody knows what purpose it initially served besides talking shit about other, non-nWo forum members behind their backs.
Syd summarizes its history as followed:
I forget exactly how the nWo was formed, but someone, possibly Jew, brought up the idea of having Usergroups and thus nWo was formed, followed shortly by the HWA. Then Jew left the forums for a while and the board stopped getting used, so I deleted it and moved the posts to a hidden forum. After the recent string of moddings, I decided that perhaps the forum could use an NSFW board and Jew's old board was resurrected to that end. [1]
Since June 2008, the group is now an open registration board for possibly offensive or NSFW topics, and with a minimum of moderation. Its current purpose as stated in the board rules is this:
What happens in nWo stays in nWo. If someone manages to insult you here, don't take it to the rest of the board. The entire purpose of this forum is to curb some of the flamebait and redirect it here. [2]
It's also a place where deviants play those forum games Jeebus hates so much to keep him from complaining.
