The Actual Show
Are You Afraid of the Dark was a TV show on Nickelodeon. It was about a bunch of kids who gathered around a campfire in the middle of the night to tell each other ghost stories. Or something like that. These shows were meant to scare kids into learning a lesson, as pointed out by Syd in the Season One AYAOTD Article. The show ran for five seasons before it was canceled and returned four years later, where it ran for two more seasons before it met an untimely end.
