Alowishus is one of the few usernames that he uses both as forum usernames and gaming IDs.

The name originates from a likening he took to the name after listening to the song "My Name is Mud" by one of his favourite bands "Primus":

My name is Mud, but call me Alowishus Devadander Abercrombie

TheGreatPumpkin

For those that didn't have a childhood: The Great Pumpkin is an unseen character from the Peanuts Comic Strip and television special: "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere......Tonight the Great Pumpkin will rise out of the pumpkin patch. He flies through the air and brings toys to all the children of the world.

Alowishus is that Pumpkin. This is now one of his more commonly used user-names in gaming and in general online however he still uses Alowishus.

Interests

Music

Since his early teens Alowishus has had a deep passion for music. He loves lots of genres of music but his favourite genres include Polka, Gruntcore, Thrashbop, Progressive Surf and Spaghetti Eastern.

He plays three musical instruments: Drums, Bass Guitar and Guitar. He has played for a few bands in his time.

Video Games

Alowishus also has an interest in gaming. He has an interest in both retro and modern gaming and likes most genres of games. He is less enthuastic about racing games and some third person shooters.

He got his first games console when he was 4 years old (a SNES). He now has a NES, PS1, PS2, PS3, PC, Gameboy Colour, Nintendo DS, Sega Megadrive(Genesis) and Nintendo 64. He used to own an Apple Mac which was his families first computer they bought in 1993. It later burnt out and stopped working.

TV and Film

Alowishus states that he doesn't have a favorite film but enjoys the genres of Sci-fi, Horror, Action and Comedy. If he had to pick films that he enjoys he would mention: Ferris Buellar's Day Off, The Illusionist, American Psycho and most of Jim Carreys films. In comedy he prefers witty/dry humor. With regard to television programmes he enjoys Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Third Rock From The Sun, Frasier and Futurama. Alowishus is also very fond of cartoons. He particularly enjoys Schulz's Peanuts, Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead, Dexters Laboratory, among many others!

Books

Alowishus doesn't read too much reading for enjoyment these days and probably reads more scientific papers than books for enjoyment. Though when he does read he enjoys the work of Dr Seuss.

Current Life

Alowishus is studying for his MSc in Town Planning in his home town in Ireland.
