Backstory: Mavericka is Enshinkarateman's (a.k.a. Jake's) band, formed in 2005. Since then, there have been quite a few lineup changes, at one point having a drummer who had no kit, whose time in Mavericka did not last long. The first actual, practicing lineup was Jake on vocals, a friend of Jake's named Aaron on guitar, Jake's lifelong friend Colin on drums, and a bassist named Karl, who Jake did not know previously. Their debut was auditioning for a high school talent show, playing the Cream classic "Sunshine of Your Love", with added distortion. Karl couldn't make it, so Jake's brother took over on bass. The audition went fairly horribly, but they made it into the show nonetheless. Meanwhile, Aaron left the band, and Rafe took over on lead guitar. Several months later, Mavericka won audience favorite at their talent show by performing The Red Hot Chili Peppers' song "Give It Away", ending with the famous riff from Black Sabbath's "Sweet Leaf". Mavericka will audition for the Talent Show this year, and will be sure to put on a good show.
