Dungeons & Dragons is a table-top RPG created by Gary Gygax in the 1970s. It utilizes polyhedral dice and atleast three rulebooks. By creating a character, players enter  world created by another player called the Dungeon Master or DM. The races of D&D includes Elves, humans, dwarves, orcs, and other Tolkien creations. Depending on the chosen race, some players wil find more luck in diffrent classes.  Classes are basically how you plan to play D&D. They can be summed up in three play styles, Magic-User, Fighter, and Thief. Obviously the classes are more complecated than this, but this is just an outline. The DM determines the setting of an adventure and the things the adventurers will encounter. They act as a storyteller, referee, ally, and enemy to the players.
