Tyop is a member of the SydLexia Forums. He's a twenty-something computer science student from Germany. He joined the forums on May 4, 2008, but he had been a lurker for over a year before that. He had found the site on November 12, 2006 through a Digg.com submission about the Top 100 NES Games list.

Tyop usually goes by his real name on the Internets. When he joined the forums he had to come up with a username on the fly and 'Tyop' was all he could think of.
