The Fox Network is a television network. They have some good shows, like The Simpsons, but a lot of the funniest stuff they show is syndicated. (Case in point, The Office, Seinfeld, so on.)
Fox Network is world-famous for its treatment of sci-fi shows. Whenever they have a science fiction show that anyone likes, they will either cancel it in the middle of a season, leaving plot threads unresolved (Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) or screw it up beyond recognition (Sliders). The worst victim was the pilot movie for an attempted Doctor Who revival in 1996; that didn't even get past the first story.
