Mortal Kombat was an arcade game put out by Midway. It introduced Fatalities on it's debut and Friendships and Animalities in later games. Controls for the game were pretty simple using High Punch, Low Punch, High Kick, and Low Kick to perform attacks. The game also utilized a Block button not seen in fighting games of the time.
Mortal Kombat also debuted and has created some of the most recognized characters in video games such as Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Sonya Blade.
