Punctuation is that stuff in written text that allows words to be pronounced correctly and gives an indication as to how the timing of those words is handled.

Without it reading would be as difficult as quantum physics.


Trivia

  • The Torah along with most native Israeli documentation and signage has no punctuation other than periods.
    • When the Romans expelled Jews from Israel (A little less than 2000 years ago) the Rabbis realized that people were becoming illiterate. To make it easier to learn how to read they created a system of dots to act as punctuation and vowels.
