Whenever they have a science fiction show that anyone likes, they will either cancel it in the middle of a season, leaving plot threads unresolved (Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) or screw it up beyond recognition (Sliders). The worst victim was the pilot movie for an attempted Doctor Who revival in 1996; that didn't even get past the first story. They've also cancelled other great shows, like Family Guy (before bringing it back) and Married... With Children.
