Nintendo
Nintendo is a video game company that originally began as a Hanafuda card manufacturer in 1889. Before getting into the video game industry, they created many other products, such as the Ultra Hand and Nintendo Instant Rice. Their first arcade game was a mechanical light gun game called Laser Clay Shooting System. They broke into the video game industry in 1975 when they got rights to distribute the Magnavox Odyssey in Japan. Their first video game, EVR Race, was developed the same year, but it was a flop. In 1977, they released their first video game system, the Color TV Game. There were some other unsuccessful or slightly successful games in the following years, like Sheriff (the first twin stick shooter), released in 1979, and Radar Scope, released in 1980. In 1981, their first real success, Donkey Kong, was released, introducing both Donkey Kong and Mario, known as Jumpman at the time. Throughout the years, Nintendo has released many successful products, from the Nintendo Entertainment System to the Nintendo Wii. In addition, they created many legendary franchises, including Super Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend Of Zelda, Metroid, and Super Smash Bros.. People like to insult Nintendo for being "kiddy" because as everyone knows, if anyone can enjoy a game, it sucks. Those people are fucking idiots. I'll take my kiddy Mario and Zelda over your shitty Madden and Halo.
